This short & sweet 'mild things' run starts with a flat riverside cruise followed by a stair climb to finish.

Start near the Barrington St/Cashmere Rd roundabout and follow the gravel path beside the river into Ernle Clark Reserve.

Once you come out the other end of the reserve, follow the road to Colombo St and cross over. Continue on the permanently closed road around a bend in the river opposite the library. When you reach Hunter Terrace, turn around and retrace your steps back into Ernle Clark Reserve.

This time, take the trail off to your left shortly after entering the reserve. This comes out alongside some ponds and continues on through a grassy field before rejoining the main path.

When you get back to the roundabout, head up Purau Tce and enter the reserve at the end of the cul-de-sac. Follow the narrow valley and take the staircase up to Dyers Pass Rd (left fork where the trail splits). Turn right, then right again down Overdale Drive.

Opposite the retirement village, head down the stairs back into Purau Reserve and follow the trail back down the valley to the finish.
