From the carpark head out across the first small footbridge that takes you weaving through the trees and then out into the open paddock. After about 350m you hook a right (before the carpark) and follow the track over a boardwalk and onto the track proper. Follow this track along the edge of the park and up onto the MTB track through the pine trees and onto the Crocodile track.

Take the left turn onto Diversion and follow this as it rejoins the Crocodile all the way to the top. Continue straight ahead onto the MTB track and follow this as it weaves up to the stile. Cross the stile and then hook right on the Siberia track as it meanders across the plateau. Always keep an eye out for MTBs as you race along the track …. they're faster than you and have right of way.

At the top of Siberia hook a left and head up the 4wd track back over the stile and then continue down the 4wd track back to the start of the Crocodile track. Head back down Crocodile and hook a left onto C2. Blat down here to the bottom and then hook right and go around the lake and back to where you came in to the pine trees. Turn left to go around the park and after approx. 150m take the left hand track … keep your eyes peeled as it's easy to miss.

Blat down here and rock hop the stream (if it's high this may not be passable and you'll have to go around), hook right and go up through the Japanese Garden before turning left and taking the track through Findlay's Picnic area and up onto the Quarry Rim Track. Follow this around the top of the quarry and zig zag back down the other side and back to your car.

Trail Reviews

Loads of fun. Super greasy after a couple of days of rain heading up the MTB trails to Siberia.

Familiar territory with the exception of the C2 track which I thoroughly enjoyed! Always nice to run by some sister city gardens as well. Would not have thought of this route myself... was good to break me out of my normal quarry park routines.

Nice intermingling of flat, climb, flat, climb etc. Good run to get going again after a couple of weeks off running. Well formed trails make for easy running.

Nice variation on the locale with a wee bit extra vert. Best in the dry, but watch for blikes
