Head through the entrance gate, make sure to scrub abd disinfect your shoes at the provided station. Head along the gravel farm road in front of you for about 800m until you see an entry gate and sign on your left to the Trig. Head through the gate into a lovely section of bush single trail and follow it until you come out the other end where there is a sign. Head straight ahead and follow the track out towards the peninsula. It is well marked and easy to follow.
Near the end of the peninsular you will come to another gate leading to some narrow single trail heading to the point. Head out to the end and take a moment to enjoy the amazing 360 degree views, then head back. At the gate head left and follow the farm track/trail to just before the trail goes through a gate, where you will see a lesser used wheel track heading to the right along parallel to the fence. Follow that down the hill, straight over the road at the bottom and into the bush again. It will take you back to the bush trail you did earlier. Turn right on to that and after a few metres you will reach the sign you saw earlier. You have two choices, go the way the sign 'seems' to point, up the fenceline to the top and climb the fence... or head about 40m further and go through the gate. You are now heading for the trig which you should be able to see in front of you (if you can't you have gone wrong somewhere). Head up to the trig, enjoy some more great views. Then head onward down the other side and follow the trail to the entry road and back to the car.
Great views over the bays and Islands in the area. Some kauri as well.

It is a working farm, so may be closed during lambing... worth checking first.
The single trail to the point requires care - especially if it's wet.
