An easy route to navigate. When you enter the forest gate on Robinson go straight ahead and then turn right at Whakatahi Rd, a lovely downhill to start with and then continues to a lovely little climb. At the top of Whakatahi turn left and keep going until you see the yellow sign post for Anzac Rd, then head down Anzac Rd which goes on for about 3 km.
Stick to the main wide track as there are a lot of smaller trails off the main track, at the very bottom turn right you will see that you are now on Campbell Rd, Keep going along Campbell Rd for about a km, until you see Long Bush Rd on your right. You now have a nice 3km climb coming up as you head up Long Bush Rd. Keep going all the way up again, staying on the main track, going straight past Spindlay which will be on your left. Keep on the track all the way up until you reach Whakatahi Rd on your left, then head back down Whakatahi and back to the car park! And you're done!

Never had a problem parking my car outside the gates, the car park is fairly small, but I always seem to find a park without any issues

Easy.
On Anzac just stay on the main track. Do the same on the way back up Long Bush - stay on the main gravel road
Very patchy.
Windproof jacket, Whistle, First aid kit, Extra food for emergencies, Cellphone, Map
Nowhere to fill up the water bottles
Down the bottom of Anzac Rd can get a little muddy but nothing that would be to difficult to run in even in winter
The bottom of Anzac has a few stony bits, but nothing that should be an issue.

A very accessible run through commercial forest, which is nicer than that perhaps sounds, a great run to do at night either at dusk or in darkness (once you have done a few times in the daylight to know your way around) as the tracks are all pretty smooth and easy to run in the dark. The forest takes on a whole new feel at night. If the skies are clear, or if the city lights are reflecting off the clouds you can run most of it with your headtorch off to enhance the sensation!!

Nice easy track to run. Pretty much all gravel roads. Only thing was that some of the signs have been broken which made it a little harder to navigate.

Nice Easy Loop, Lots of paths coming off so a little confusing running in the dark but easy enough to work out once the sun rose! :-) I ended up doing the loop section twice which made it in to a nice Half marathon :-)

Easy to navigate. My first run back as the country moved to Level 3 lockdown. A few dog walkers around...just put on my playlist and zoned out, great to be back on something other than tarmac!
