Follow the Opanuku Pipeline Track until it reaches Christian Road and then go right on sealed road until you see the start of the Swanson Pipeline Track on your left. Follow this track until you reach its intersection with Peripatus Track which will go to your left. Continue on the Peripatus Track until you reach Scenic Drive (if you go for a little trot up the road you can get great veiws of Auckland). The Peripatus track joins the East Tunnel Mount Track which takes you back to the Opanuku Piperline track. On you way back down you will see the remains of the Waikakere Tramline. Trail Reviews

Muddy bliss doing in this the Autumn or Winter. Crawling through a tunnel and not trying to think about the spiders or wetas in it, always adds to the experience. Definitely a good one for those wanting a short and sharp training run.
