This is an awesome little route that links the bush walk/trails at Shepherds Park with those at the Eskdale.
They are mostly well-formed paths, mostly gravel, with a few hundred metres along the road to get from one to the other. It is amazing that you can get an hour and a bit of time in the bush in the middle of the shore.
Lots of coastal outlooks near Shepherds Park, nice river with a couple of waterfalls at Eskdale.
There is a toilet at the start.
There is a carpark (several) at Shepherds park, or road parking. Its also on an easy to access bus route.
