From the Historic Shotover Bridge (You can park on either side). Follow the Tuckers Beach Trail towards Kimi-ākau Bridge. There is a short section on the Tuckers Beach Road.

Cross the bridge and head up the zig zag path on the other side. Don't follow the main path at the top of the hill - instead take the lesser-used path to the right. For about 1km you run on a single track through grass before hitting trees again. Follow this trail down to the river and then the track sidles along the riverside.

After the beach/river section you will head back into the bush along another single track which will come out to a clearing. Here the trail splits in two: you can take either trail (recommend the one to the right that follows closer to the river). Keep following this and eventually you will hit the Queenstown bike trails again which return you to the Historic Shotover bridge.

River could change, worse case if you can't cross the river side section just return the way you came. Shouldn't happen (but possible)
