As this is a loop, it can be started from a variety of points (5 mile carpark, 7 mile carpark, Moke Lake to name a few) and can be done either clockwise or anticlockwise.
Starting from 5 mile carpark (park at bottom of Moke Lake Rd - can also be known as 7 mile point confusingly), head up Gold-Digger MTB track (or Moke Lake Rd your choice) until it pops out on Moke Lake Rd after around 3km. Follow Moke Lake Rd to the camp ground at Moke Lake (approx 6.5km), cross the bridge around to the Lake Wakatipu end of Moke Lake where you will see a sty and a single track through a grassy paddock alongside a fence signposted 'Lake Dispute Walkway'. Keep following it past Lake Dispute on your left, over some small bike sized cattle stops, down towards Lake Wakatipu and Glenorchy Rd. On your left a few km down this track is a MTB Track called 'Phoenix'. Follow this down to 7 mile/Wilsons Bay carpark. (it is MTB down only and I have never met anyone on it despite it being an AWESOME ride).
Follow the track (starts as multi-use then becomes walking only) at the end of the carpark back over to 5 mile carpark to complete the circuit.
Loads of variety and can jump in the Lake (Moke or Wakatipu - Moke can have duck itch) on a hot day.
Public toilets (long drop variety) at 5 and 7 mile as well as Moke Lake.
Plenty of parking at each start point.

Easy.
Very patchy.
Waterproof leggings, Long-sleeved thermal top, Seam-sealed waterproof jacket, Windproof jacket, Gloves, Beanie/thermal headwear, Personal Locator Beacon (PLB), Whistle, First aid kit, Extra food for emergencies, Survival blanket, Cellphone, Map
Carry your own. No water sources that I'd drink from (apart from Lake Wakatipu).
Can get pretty cold and snowy in Winter and hot as bejesus in summer (opportunities to cool down). In Spring and when it there are thaw and frost cycles, the track around Moke Lake gets really muddy and slow.
As two of the tracks are MTB, always watch out for bikes.
Do you have a suggestion on where to go afterwards for the best coffee / cake / breakfast / brunch / beer?
