Description
If you are keen for an easy recovery run, or something without hills, then this should hit the spot. The track starts at the 45th Parallel marker (you could start pretty much anywhere along the track, but I find the 45th Parallel is an easy place to describe for people) and you head along the lakeside on the vehicle tracks towards Pisa Moorings.
Follow the track which is marked by yellow poles along the lakeside until you reach the arched bridge over the first of the inlets. Take a right over this, then right off it and follow the small iron markers along the lakeside once again. The track meanders in and out of the wee inlets on the strip of land between houses and lake.
Follow it past the playground (toilets here if you need them) and up a wee rise to the end of Pisa Moorings and the edge of the quarry next door. You could keep heading along if you were so inclined.
Turn around and head back towards your car, appreciating the scenery from the other direction.

Starting location is at the 45th Parallel marker located on the main road between Pisa Moorings and Cromwell.
If you'd like a shorter option you could start in behind the Dog Trials Club (-44.986972, 169.233476) which would be about 8.5km round trip or you could start in Pisa Moorings beside the Moorings Restaurant (-44.980635, 169.235777) which would be about a 7km round trip.Plenty of parking available, very public area so car should be safe.
