Bowen Peak can be accessed on the trails Fernhill Loop, Ben Lomond from One Mile, Mt Dewar Devil Creek Loop, Jacks Point to Queenstown Trail, One Mile - Gondola Scenic Route, Moonlighting to Sefferstown, Queenstown Hill (Te Tapu-nui), Moonlighting around Bowen Peak, Around Ben Lomond, The Harcombe Round, Ben Lomond via Tiki Trail, Arthur's Point to Sunshine Bay, Shotover Gorge loop from Tuckers Beach and Queenstown Lake and Gardens from our trail directory.

Easy out and back from the Ben Lomond Saddle: Turn right, following the Moonlight Track (signposted) for ca. 200m, then turn right onto the unformed trail up to the summit. This is very steep and washed out in places, but the view from the top and lack of people are worth the detour!
