This is part of the Alps 2 Ocean trail and is very easy to follow - plenty of black signs pointing in the right directions, a few maps along the way to show your location and a very well maintained hard packed almost footpath type of trail.

Staying Safe
Easy.
Follow the black A2O markers and the well worn trail
Perfect throughout.
Thermal leggings, Short-sleeved thermal top, Long-sleeved thermal top, Seam-sealed waterproof jacket, Gloves, Beanie/thermal headwear, Whistle, First aid kit, Extra food for emergencies, Cellphone, Map.
There are two water points along the trail, also toilets. I wouldn't drink from any streams along the way due to being in dairy farming country
Quite muddy in spots after rain and when the frost melts
