Description

Cross the estuary from the carpark and look for the orange markers to stay on route. You follw the track along the coast, at the 2KM mark veer right on the track junction. When you get to the road cross to the other side and run up the hill, there is a gravel track or verge on the left side of cove road going back to Waipu cove. Watch for traffic when running on this section.

  • Access

Starts at end of Waipu cove village beach carpark from main road. Look for coastal walkway signs. You MUST cross the estuary and get your feet wet to start the run

Good safe parking and plenty of it here although it will be busy in summer and might be harder to find a park with people parking down the road.

  • Staying Safe

    Easy.

You could turn left at the 2KM junction and run the additional little loop to ding bay then come back on the cove road. Might be another 1K

    Patchy.

    Cellphone.

    At parking lot

Lots of people on track during summer. Run early morning or evenings in height of holiday season
