The walkway is well marked with orange triangles. Use stiles; leave the gates as you find them. The walk includes a steep climb through native bush with steps in some places.

Features of interest
Tinui was the first place in the world to have a formal celebration on Anzac Day. The original cross was erected in 1916 and replaced in 2016. There is also a trig and sundial at the summit

Take the Castlepoint Road from the Tinui Cafe and Bar and look for the AA sign to the cemetery - about 2km from Tinui. The walkway starts adjacent to the Tinui Cemetery.
Off street car parking is available at the start of the walkway
Follow clearly visible orange arrows
Short-sleeved thermal top, Seam-sealed waterproof jacket, Whistle, First aid kit, Extra food for emergencies, Cellphone, Map.
No drinking water on walkway.
Muddy and slippery after rain. Exposed to the wind on summit.
Track can be slippery when wet and with leaf fall.
