The track is open and some care has been given to it over the past few months however there is one significant washout on the Wairoa loop that you have to slow down and take care over, going under some trees etc. Also this is within a Kauri Dieback area, please clean you shoes and gear.

Description
This is an easy to get to and enjoyable track, easy to follow with only a few junctions which are well marked. Run it either direction or double/ triple it up.. Not a terribly exciting track but it's a good training run that's close to Papakura and relatively safe. Also there is a toilet at the bottom of the dam, go down the road when you get out of Wairoa loop before you head up the road to the top of the dam.
