The track follows the river and gently winds its way up. It climbs more steeply before reaching the a view point at about 2.5 km where you can see the waterfall. Continue up another 1 km until you reach the river again and a track intersection. Turn left to the to reach the upper look out (200m). Come back down the same way.

    The track to Wairere Falls starts at the end of Goodwin Road off Old Te Aroha Road. 15km north east of Matamata.

    There is room for parking at the end of the road. There are also toilets a hundred meters along the track.
