Description
Starting from the car park head up the Codgers trail until you meet Tantragee Rd, follow the road for a further couple of hundred metres then turn right before you reach the Tantragee Saddle & follow the trail up the Dun Mountain Trail.
At approx. the 7km mark take a left turn at a well-formed 4-way intersection up Fringed Hill. This climb is approx. 2.5km and quite steep in places. When you reach the gravel road, continue uphill to the right for another 200m or so before turning off the road to your right to the summit of the hill. From here you head into the bush along Black Diamond Ridge for a couple of km. Just follow the trail straight ahead at any intersections & in approx. 2 km you re-join the Dun Mountain Trail where you turn right. In approx. 1km you will pass the 3rd House (Historical site on the Dun Mt Trail) & from here you have a 9km gradual downhill run all the way back to the car.

Staying Safe
Easy.
All described in the description of the run. If in doubt pretty much turn right.
Patchy.
Windproof jacket, Gloves, Beanie/thermal headwear, Whistle, First aid kit, Extra food for emergencies, Cellphone, Map.
You do pass the odd creek on this run where you can fill up.
Track is pretty good all year around. It does get snow on the peak, so wear appropriate clothing in winter.
