Description
Enjoy a 100% trail trot around the Milford Sound foreshore, exploring the beach and harbour basin, forest, history and lookout.
From the free parking at Deepwater Basin pick up the signed walking track. Take this all the way to the Boat Harbour where you can admire all the tourist vessels.
Pop out to the end of the Breakwater for a great photo opportunity and watch a boat or two head out. Once you have filled your panorama cup, retrace your steps back towards the old Hotel complex (now staff accommodation, cafe and visitor centre.
Pick up the trail up to the lookout behind this next to Sutherlands Gravesite- a few short flights of stairs and you'll find the lookout viewing platform.
Return to the foreshore and pick up the signed Foreshore Loop through the trees- truly awesome here. Complete the loop (look out for the swing!) and then return back along the trail to Deepwater to complete the Tour of Milford Haven.

Start at the free carparking at Deep Water Basin. This saves the $25 parking charge at Fresh Water Basin.
Plenty of tourist buses head to Milford Sound, but the drive there in your own car is one of the best in the world.
