From the car park there's a short section of single track that crosses a stream on a swing bridge and shortly after joins a 4WD track. Turn right, follow this for a few hundred metres and then branch off again following the signed single track trail through gorgeous bush all the way to the beach. Take time to explore this stunning west coast stretch of sand and rocks before retracing your steps back to the car park.
Beautiful coastal rainforest and an opportunity to see Fiordland crested penguins (if you time it right!)
If you know of any public toilets near the trail start or on the route, please login and then let us know so we can update this section.
The car park is signposted off the main road, down a short gravel road. Room for around 8 vehicles. Toilet available.

Possibly the best sub 5k trail I’ve run yet. Lush forest, moss covered trees, birds galore and a tannin coloured stream flowing all the way down to a stunning wild secluded beach. Very special.

Wow, wow, wow! This short trail has it all. And then that beach is just stunning!!! Unfortunately can't linger for too long on the beach, the sandflies live in hoards here!! (Think we did well to stay for about 15-20 minutes)

This trail is a stunner. So good in the forest, pristine to the highest order. Then that beach...and the natives who make you linger not too long. 5 stars for all the family
