Route is well signed posted. Started from the Ashhurst carpark you go under the highway and go up the hill. Once at the highest point it undulates until the climb down to the Woodville end (please note there is a slip on the track which closed the track preventing an exit at the Woodville end. You will only get about 16km run to the closed track point and back to the carpark until this slip is cleared).

  • Access

State Highway 3, 1km from Ashhurst, or on Gorge road about 5km from Woodville.

Manawatu Gorge Ashhurst end carpark. You can park at the Woodville end by driving over the bridge at Woodville end of gorge, the road is called Gorge road and the carpark is about 200m from the bridge. However, this end of track is currently closed due to a slide (when this might be fixed is unclear).
