Description
The tracks are pretty well marked, it's just a matter of looping them together through the farmland and closing gates behind you. Wednesday's in summer there's a group that leaves the carpark at 7pm for an hour or so across this trail or a variation that includes the river mouth.

As you come over the hill from Orewa heading down to Waiwera, take the right and then take the first left into the gravel carpark
The course starts from a lovely gravel carpark, and actually, there's a bus to Waiwera 981 that stops our front. You can connect with the bus at the Hibiscus Coast station (end stop of the Northern Express). So this is actually doable for those without a car, that can get to Britomart. The trip out to Waiwera from the city would be around an hour.

Staying Safe
Easy.
If all else fails head straight or downhill. From any point in the trail you'll hit the river, coast or a road and can walk out from there.
Generally good.
Whistle, First aid kit, Extra food for emergencies, Cellphone, Map, Headtorch and spare batteries.
There's drinking water down at the farmhouse and at the main Wenderholm toilets.
Muddy after rain on the hills and damp in the grass of the farmland over winter.
Typical roots across track.
