From the carpark head towards the Southland Observatory building before turning South down the winding path through the dunes and pine forest. Keep following this track through the Tree Tunnel and towards Oreti beach, run onto the beach and touch the ocean before turning back down the same track and taking a left.

Follow the winding track through the dunes until you reach a fork in the track, take the left through the gate and keep following this track North taking a right turn once you enter the bush. Lots of horse jumps in this part of the run, pretend you're a horse and jump over a couple.

Once in Pacific Ave run north before taking a right on Dunns Road for a few hundred metres before taking another right onto Pit Road. Follow Pit Road for just over 1km before taking the right back onto the Golf course and over the small bridge to the Fairway. Going anti-clockwise run the Fairways back to the carpark.
