This is a multi-use track that is shared with mountain bikers. For safety reasons all users are directed to travel in a clock-wise direction. The trail is well established and users are unlikely to get lost. If someone were to get off track it would be fairly straightforward to find it again.

Great vistas of surrounding mountains and of the Clutha River.

Parking is easy next to the track start. No public transport.

Trail Reviews

Really enjoyed this trail but accidentally acquired an extremely keen trail running dog along the way. Monty belongs to a house in Dublin Bay if this happens to anyone else 😂

Great little flattish loop track for days when you don’t want a big epic adventure. Lovely views along the way and a nice mix of forest and open tussock

One of my favourite local flatter trails. Very flowy in parts and generally not heavily populated with mountain bikers as you might assume there would be.

Very nice flowy single track that close to Wanaka with some nice views of the river and surrounding hills. A good combination with the Outlet track and Mt Roy to do a bigish loop from Wanaka. Mountain bikers seem to use the track a lot more than walkers/runners, so be aware of what is coming up behind and be courteous :)
