Description
Starting from the carpark head down to the limestone track which you will see going under the bridge, however you want to go the opposite way and follow the track that goes behind Higgins. This track will take you under the railway bridge and head up river. After about 1km in you will cross a water outlet with a little bridge to the right side, once over this you will continue for about 100m and the track will divide into two (right takes you up to to the stopbank and straight ahead is the bridle path), but if you look to your left you will see a single track which is the mountain bike track. Follow this track as it loops around and sometimes it crosses the bridle trail and you will have to run some of the bridle trail once the single track ends.
Around the 2km mark the bridle trail will take you up to the stop bank which you will need to run from about 20m and then once you see a track come off the stopbank to your left you can join the single mountain bike track. You will continue on this track until about 3.5km when you will come across the 4WD track which goes behind Lindsay Bush. Follow this track until it is intersected by another 4WD track. Turn left here and then after a few steps turn right to continue on the mountain bike track.
This track will eventually end at a stream and you will see the track heading up to the stopbank. You can either turn around and retrace your footsteps or run up to the stopbank and continue along the stopbank until you return to Lindsay Bush (you can run in Lindsay Bush, its not long and still has some flood damage hence why I don't) and find the 4WD track going behind Lindsay Bush to retrace your footsteps back to your car.
