Running the Heaphy Track

On a quick trip back to his native New Zealand from his home in Ireland, Andre van Barneveld was looking for a new adventure - something a little different from the Tararua trails that he knew so well from living so long in the Wairarapa.
A full traverse of the Heaphy Track - our longest Great Walk - in just one day seemed like the ideal plan. It was also one that would remind Andre of how lucky we are to be Kiwis.

West Coast Wanderings

Wild Things co-founder Mal Law recently took a road trip from his home town of Wanaka to Taupo to run in the Taupo Ultramarathon.
Seizing the opportunity to go exploring some new trails along the way, he discovered some wee beauties on the West Coast of the South Island.
This is his report on that part of his big roadie.
