The Waitomo Trail Run is back!

The Waitomo Trail Run is back after a brief hiatus (because of you-know-what); offering runners 6, 11, 21 or 35km courses spanning unique underground and overground terrain in the heart of the Waikato.

Set in one of New Zealand’s most iconic natural landscapes, the Waitomo Trail Run is well-regarded as the ultimate underground over-ground trail adventure.

Famous for its glowworm caves, the Waitomo area is abundant with native forest, rugged canyons and unique Karst-studded limestone formations, which form the setting for a truly one-of-a-kind trail run.

The various courses immerse runners in lush native bush and rolling farmland, alongside rocky ridges and natural tunnels. With such a diverse array of scenery, there’s a perfect challenge for every runner.
