Front country - easily accessible
Point to Point (one way)
Undulating, some big hills
This trail starts from the bottom of the Roundhill Access Rd. It's a gentle, steady climb for approximately 3km until you reach the gate on the access road. From here, it is a hard climb (about 2/3rds of the total climbing for this trail) for 3km until you reach the DoC sign for the Richmond trail to your right. Follow the markers along for approximately 6km before starting your decent down the marked track before ending up at the road.
If you don't have transport it is another 10km back along the road to the start point. Alternatively, you can drive approximately 3km to the Roundhill Access gate to make it shorter.
