While not long, 255 vertical in 3km is a pretty fair climb and gets the hearty rate going nicely. There is no real navigation required... just follow the well marked track. There is one place where you climb the stile, go across a farm track to the very obvious stile on the other side. Further up you come to the intersection at the start of the loop.... I went left as the arrow points, but it makes no real difference as you finish up back at the same place.
A couple of nice small waterfalls and some views over Kaikoura and the coast.
If you know of any public toilets near the trail start or on the route, please login and then let us know so we can update this section.
There is a small carpark there, it is not likely to be crowded though.

You come to the stream twice, on the day I ran there was plenty of water... not sure what it would be like in summer.
There had been a bit of rain recently and the track was still fine.

Really enjoyed this little track, just 10 mins drive from Kaikoura. Just dont put Mt Fyffe carpark into your GPS. In my defence, I hadnt had coffee yet.

What a lovely piece of native bush to run around!! Really enjoyed the views from each clearing and the swing bridge at the top of the track. A great track for a beginner who wants some vertical.
