Accessible from either Wainui or Tōtaranui. Gibbs Hill summit is on a side track around 100m from the main trail. The summit can be incorporated in to one of the runs in the Wild Things Trail Directory that pass close by. The track is noticeably steeper when ascending from the Tōtaranui side.
