Climb from the Albert Burn saddle/Whare Kea chalet that can be reached from the East Matukituki Track at the point where it levels out at the top of the steep climb from Junction Flat. If you're lucky (or smart!) you might find some vague tracks through the low scrub, otherwise it's a case of following your nose to the saddle. TIP: skirt under (to south of) Pt 1534 and approach the saddle from the head of Hester Pinney Creek - this is the line of least resistance. Once at the saddle it's a fun scramble to the summit.
