There's public access via Jordan Stream (access further up the Puhi Puhi valley is a bit easier but requires permission). Head up Jordan Stream, take north branch (not too far) then a steep grunt up (north) onto a long ridge - head up over points 1636, 1910, 2109 to arrive at the main range in a wide flat area (2200m) and follow the main range north from here (easy scrambling in a couple of places). Can also be approach from along the range from the south (e.g. Manakau/Surveyor Peak).
