Great peak to bag with a beautiful view straight to Mount Cook and over Ohau. We followed the Te Araroa trail and climbed up through the beech forest following DOC markers until we hit the top of the climb before turning left off track and heading straight up to the ridgeline. From there, it took a wee while longer to hit the summit. Check for snow as we had to siddle along scree to avoid snow cornices... sounds scary but completely ok, however, check the weather of course before you go. We went in October and was ok.

Awesome peak. We went from road side in Ohau where TA trail is. Followed this up through beech forest. Then off track and up to ridgeline. Followed this all the way to mount Ohau then return. Very rocky/technical. Some snow. Could be some wicked scree slopes to run. Recommend the nachos at Ohau Lodge post mish. Took us about 7hrs and approx 26kms. 1600 vert roughly.
