The course is effectively two loops. Loop 1: Begins with a short steep climb on the logging and mountain bike tracks going clockwise. 500m of downhill is followed by another 3km of climbing. You return 'back to base' (or near enough) on the downhill link track for 1.5km. Quite steep in parts so let loose! Loop 2: This is a big anticlockwise loop using the Trig Track, Horokiwi Bridleway, and the Korokoro Track. A gentle downhill for 1.5km before you commence a 300m ascent over 2km. Great views from up here! Next 3kms is all downhill, with a couple of sharp turns to keep you on your game. At the 12km mark you're heading back to the woolshed. 2kms of gentle uphill before you hit the last hill - 100m ascent over 1km. Follow the stream back up to the Woolshed.
