Description
From the carpark, head along SH8 and then veer up the track on the right hand side after approx 800m. Head up track, instead of taking first switchback, head straight on farm track and down into wee creek. Follow track along through paddock and then switchback up the hill. Follow this track until about 3.7km in where you take a left hand track and head up the ridge rather than downwards. Head up past Sheepcamp (lots of evidence of sheep being here for long periods of time) until you get to top of the ridge. Head right and down to Bikewheel, which is the junction of a few tracks (there is a bike wheel on a rock). Take the left hand track and head down into Firewood Creek where you then climb back up and up to Mt Horn. Once you have bagged the trig at top you then take the left hand path down, head back down the hill following the 4WD track. You get to the top of the Reservoir Track and then follow the track underneath the power pylons back to the road where you first came off SH8.
