Leaving the carpark you head up the Reservoir Track which is just across the road. Follow this up and past the old reservoir. At the top, instead of following the pole markers to the left, veer to the right and head up that ridge. Once on the farm track you follow this all the way up through the station up to a junction just below Mt Horn. Climb over a wee wire fence and head up to the trig and shed. Once there, head back to the wire fence, take a right hand turn and go down into Campbells Creek. You then climb up out of this and follow a ridge down towards Cromwll and the lake. You get to Bikewheel - a junction of tracks that has a bike wheel resting against a rock (hence the name). Arriving at Bikewheel, you want to take the grass track at "10 O'clock". Follow this track back further down the ridge. Then take a left near the bottom in to Firewood Creek and head down then back up to meet up at the top of the Reservoir Track again. Follow this nice bit of downhill and loop back to the car.
