Drive up to about 1400 m until you hit a closed gate and a car park with a great view. Park and hike along the road. After a few kilometres, you’ll reach the ski field and lifts.

From there, check your map, head left, and follow ski trails up toward South Peak — zig-zagging your way up. Shortcut if you like. Amazing views from the summit!

Continue northeast along the ridge to the highest lift station, then north into a saddle. Mount Hutt Peak will be right ahead. Scramble directly up — the last section is loose scree, so crampons or spikes are a must if there’s snow.

Take in the summit views, then retrace your steps. From the lift station, choose any path down to the car park.

This trail includes the peaks Mount Hutt - North Peak and Mount Hutt - South Peak.
