This is a straightforward trail signposted as the "Little River Rail Trail".

It could easily be combined with our "Lets Go Down to Liffeytown" route for an 11km trot, or if you are extra keen on a much longer run the Rail Trail route follows Gilmours Road and Rivers Road to connect with the 23km "Little River Chuggalong" route from our trail running directory, all the way to Little River.

Nice route along the old Lincoln Rail line as it headed south.

Park up on Liffey Drive by the reserve and tennis courts. Safe on street parking.

Trail Reviews

One of my local runs! Track is easy to follow and wide. Not super inspiring, but a good 'trail' run close to home. Watch out for cyclists, they sneak up on you. Halfway when you hit the turn around, there is a person selling eggs. Sometimes we bring a bag and run these back home for a post run, protein filled breakfast.
