Start just across the road from the end of Lake Lyndon. Start at the point where the spur comes to the road. A short sharp climb, then it flattens out. After the spur curves around it will start to get steeper. This is the steepest part of the climb.
The scrub gets a bit thicker as you go up. It is easier if you keep more to the left before you break out of the scrub. Continue to pt1536. A lovely gradient along this portion then into the final wee push to the summit of Foggy Peak.
Leaving Foggy Peak, aim for pt1175. There is a choice here, the spur leading down to the last 0 of 1300 on the topomap, or the gully between that and the main way down foggy.
The third option is the usual way down foggy to the knoll that leads onto the spur heading to pt1175. After pt1175 is a short, sharp descent then it is back to gradual all the way to the car.
