Starting from the lay-by, cross the road and follow it down to the bridge. Carry on across the bridge keeping to the main path, until you come to a fork in the road, where you take the right hand path that looks a little rougher to follow the side of the loch.

Keep to this path, trying to avoid wet feet, until you reach another bridge, which you will cross, veering to the right to keep to the loch.

Pass a building on your right and keep hugging the edge of the loch and enjoying your surroundings.

There will be another right hand turn when you enter a section of trees, where you will pass a few estate buildings and come out at a bridge, which brings you back onto your initial track. Turn left to head back to your car.

Available in Torridon.

Space for approx 5-6 cars at roadside lay-by.

Easy.

Just keep the loch on your right and keep going clockwise!

Patchy.

Seam-sealed waterproof jacket, Gloves, Beanie/thermal headwear, Whistle, First aid kit, Extra food for emergencies, Cellphone, Map

Burns along the way.

Snow common in winter. There are a number of tremendous mountainous routes around this area, but the weather can be fickle and this is a great option for those rainy days, or when your legs need some recovery time!
