Starting from the Boat Inn, Aboyne. Cross the bridge and turn left, run along the road for a short section until you come to a grass field on your right and head straight up the field on the visible track and enter the woods. Go through the gate and turn right up the hill, keep going up, up, up on an obvious track with a few obstacles until your calves are screaming and you reach the top!
From the top, turn right and run along the top of the hill before dropping down to the right and picking up a gravel track, continue straight on at the cottage and continue up the gravel track.
Keep your eyes peeled for another right turn, it’s harder to spot and takes you back into the woods and eventually brings you to a fun wee descent, cross the fence at the bottom and you end up on the newly upgraded Fungle Road.
Turn left and follow the path all the way to the tarmac road, veering left down a tree-lined path to reach the road, from here you will see the bridge again and it's just a short distance back to the Boat Inn for some refreshments!
Available in the main village of Aboyne, approximately 1km from the start. The Boat Inn has toilets available to customers.
There is ample roadside parking by the pub.
