This loop showcases one of the most spectacular sections of the Worcestershire Way (second only to the Malverns), delivering expansive views across the Worcestershire countryside from Woodbury Hill and Abberley Hill. The route packs in around 510 m of total ascent, with the main climb coming early as the trail rises steeply out of the village and up onto the wooded hillsides—a testing section that can be muddy and slippery after rain.
The route tracks up a gravel drive & passes across the field to meet up with the Worcestershire Way. Once on the ridge, the trail rewards the effort with rolling terrain and long, runnable sections through farmland and woodland, passing near landmarks such as the Abberley Hall clock tower. After the initial ascent, the route largely flattens with gentler undulations through farmed valleys and wildflower-lined paths. Expect several stile crossings and a few quiet country road crossings.
Starting and finishing at the village hall with easy parking, this is a standout loop year-round, with bluebell season offering a particularly stunning woodland display.

Easy.
After leaving the main road once you have gone around the first bend to the right keep your eyes peeled for the track on the left across which will hug the hedge line of the field. (this is just before the second bend in the road.
