Track along shore of Green Lake is closed at the moment (January 2020). DETOUR: From end of Blue Lake take Tikitapu Rd (right turn) until Branch Rd. Turn left here & then turn right at the bottom of Branch Rd to join The Black Track again.

    The start of the Black Track is just to the right of the Redwoods i-site building, clearly signposted.

    Free parking at the Redwoods i-site.

    Very patchy.

    Short-sleeved thermal top, Windproof jacket, Whistle, First aid kit, Extra food for emergencies, Cellphone, Map.

    There is one water point about 25kms into the trail, at a big trail intersection.

    Very muddy after rain! Just ask the 2018 TUM runners!
