From the parking area at the end of Gold Creek Road, head up Gold Creek Boundary Break towards the reservoir for a short distance (not the continuation of Gold Creek Road), then turn left past the toilet and head anticlockwise on the Gold Creek Reservoir Walking Track.

It climbs up, reaching the high point at about 1.5km before dropping, and then it's more minor undulations the rest of the way. At 2.5km make sure you stay on the Gold Creek Walking Track and don't head down the break road.

Continue on the walking track the whole way round, always taking the left hand option if you're not sure, keeping the reservoir on your left when going anticlockwise.

At 4.6 km you're back at the dam where a short descent takes you back to the start.

Easy.

Follow the singletrack loop around the reservoir. Download the GPS before you get there as there isn't much reception at the start (or find reception by walking up the dam wall). Anticlockwise is the more popular direction.

Patchy.

Whistle, First aid kit, Extra food for emergencies, Cellphone, Map

Can be muddy/slippy after rain and sometimes gets a bit overgrown depending on how recently it's been maintained.
