Start at the carpark a short way up Dryandra Street. Take the right hand trail into O'Connor Ridge Nature Reserve. Head up the hill to the left and join the wider Stadium Fire Trail (FT) along O'Connor Ridge.

Near the top of the hill there are a number of trails merging. Veer slightly right and take the Tip FT - where you will run near an old covered Rubbish Tip. Down the hill at the edge of O'Connor Ridge Nature Reserve, Tip FT veers left and then intersects with Stadium FT. Turn right and follow the trail in a semi circle and keep going back in the direction from which you came.

After roughly 400m follow Stadium FT up the hill and then after a further 300m veer right onto a well formed trail that heads down towards Gungahlin Drive. Follow the trail down to and cross the Bike Path that intersects Bruce and O'Connor Nature Reserves.

Head up to the big Bruce Nature Reserve Information Board. Head up Reservoir Ridge FT up the hill and veer right onto North Bruce FT. At the end, turn up Bruce Ridge FT and head straight up the hill. This is a great place for hill workouts.

At the top, turn right on to Reservoir Ridge FT and follow this trail past the huge covered reservoir. At the end of the reservoir take the steep trail down to run alongside Belconnen Way briefly and then veer left on to Bruce Pipeline FT. Follow this track until you hit the Bike Path again and at the gate turn right on the sealed path. Follow this down to Dryandra Street and then turn left to get back to the carpark where you started.

Views over North Canberra.

None

Plenty of parking on Dryandra Steet or in the dirt carpark.

No

Moderate.

There are a number on tracks in these two Nature Reserves that intersect the route. For the most part, the route takes the bigger (mostly 4WD) track. The Reserves are small enough that getting lost is nearly impossible.

Perfect throughout.

Windproof jacket, Cellphone, Snake bandage

None - on a hot day, recommend taking at least 500ml water.

Can be very hot in summer and very cold in winter. Most of the trail drains well however.

Snakes.

Do you have a suggestion on where to go afterwards for the best coffee / cake / breakfast / brunch / beer?
