1. Measuring the circumference of the hand
Take a tape measure and place it tightly around the widest part of your flat hand – just below your knuckles. Leave your thumb out. Then read the measured value.
If you are using a piece of string or thread instead of a tape measure, mark the measured length and then measure it with a ruler or folding rule.
