Not to be confused with Mt Cook in NZ, which is much taller! But as far as Peaks near Perth, WA this is as high as it gets. 78km south of Perth along the Albany Hwy (search for Mt Cooke Loop to get there). Lovely views across the Jarrah forest and granite outcrops. The Bibbulmun Track traverses this range, but to do it as a standalone peak you have to make your way up to the track from the Mt Cooke carpark, then follow the Bibbulmun to the Mt Cooke Campsite before looping back to the start on a forestry track.
