Waitomo Trail Challenge

About the Challenge:

The Waitomo Trail Run on 4th November is a true New Zealand underground overground adventure. Explorers will run or walk over and under 6, 11, 21 or 35km of landscape that has to be seen to be believed. Walkers, runners and children – indeed explorers of all ages and abilities – are encouraged to come along and explore Waitomo’s caves, native bush, canyons and glowworms. With courses to suit every appetite for adventure, Waitomo Trail Run is guaranteed to have something for everyone.

Here's the deal: Any run or walk you track on Strava during this Wild Challenge will score you points in this epic challenge. 1 run/walk = 1 point. 

Want extra points? Obviously! Keep these distances in mind when planning your runs/walk: 6km, 11km, 21km and 35km. These are the same distances you can tackle at the Waitomo Trail Run. If your run/walk is within 10% of any of these distances, you'll earn double challenge points. Sweet!

And the cherry on top: each point you earn is an entry in the draw to win one of the four epic prize packs worth over $2,300. The more points you accumulate = more entries.

One lucky winner will grab a double pass to any event distance, plus a double pass to the Ruakuri Cave tour (1-year validity) plus a double pass to the Black Labyrinth Blackwater Rafting (1-year validity).

Three other lucky winners will also each grab a double pass to any event distance AND a double pass to the Ruakuri Cave tour (1-year validity).

Prizes will be drawn at the end of the challenge, as spot prizes, with each point on the leaderboard getting you an entry in the draw. Epic.
