Peak Challenge
Total height of summits
Named after the three peaks of Flagstaff (668m), Swampy (739m), and Mt Cargill (676m), the Three Peaks Mountain Race takes runners and walkers up and along some of Dunedin’s most beautiful trails through lush native bush and forestry where they are rewarded with stunning panoramic views.
This makes it perfectly suited for our first peaks challenge.
We're keeping it simple; climb a peak from our peak directory and you'll be on the leaderboard. Every time you summit a peak, even if it's the same peak, you'll increase your chances of winning!
Remember to post photos from your runs to your Instagram account using the hashtag #wildthingspeakchallenge to have a chance of grabbing the Instagram photo prize!
You will need to record your runs on Strava, and have your Wild Things account linked for your peak summits to be counted.
On completion of the challenge, we will draw a spot prize winner - every summit that you've reached gives you one chance in the draw.
The winner will receive a free entry to the distance of their choice at the Three Peaks Mountain Race in March next year.
We also have another free entry to offer as an Instagram prize! At the end of the challenge, we will select one winner from all photos that have been posted to Instagram during October using the hashtag #wildthingspeakchallenge. Quality pictures that are in keeping with the theme of the challenge have the best chance of being selected.
Already entered? No worries, if you're lucky enough to win, the cost of your entry will be refunded!
