The trails are calling, and Merrell wants to see you out there running wild!
The Run Wild with Merrell Challenge is an exciting distance challenge where every kilometre you complete on a trail can earn you points on the leaderboard.
To make it easy to join, but encourage you onto the trails, any run that includes part of a trail from our Trail Directory will count! You don’t have to run the entire trail—just ensure that at least 10% of your activity is on one of our listed trails.
So, lace up your grippy shoes, hit the trails, record your runs on Strava or Garmin to start racking up points! The more points you earn, the more entries you get in the draw to win one of our epic spot prizes (we’ve got heaps to give away!) ?
You have until the end of February, so whether you’re running, jogging, or crawling, get out there and earn those points!

16 pairs of Merrell Trail Running shoes! Every month, we’ll draw FOUR lucky winners who can choose from selected Merrell Trail Running shoes, including the popular Agility Peak 5.

At the end of each month, we’ll randomly select four challengers from the leaderboard. The more kilometres you’ve run, the more points you’ll have—and the higher your chances of winning!

No worries — you can join a Wild Challenge at any time while it's running.
When you join, we'll automatically award any challenge points you've earned since the challenge started, so you won't miss out just because you joined late.
If you've only just connected Strava or Garmin, we'll sync your last three months of activities too, so eligible activities can still count towards the challenge.
Connect your Strava or Garmin account to Wild Things and we'll automatically sync your activities and add any that qualify to the challenge.
You don't need to add activities manually — just get out there and do your thing! Each challenge has its own criteria for earning points, so check the challenge details above to see what counts.
If you use both Strava and Garmin, you can connect both — we won't create duplicate activities.
Absolutely. You can join as many Wild Challenges as you like, and the same activity can earn points across multiple challenges if it meets the criteria for each one.
We usually draw challenge winners a few days after the challenge finishes. We wait at least 2–3 days to allow any late activities to sync from Strava or Garmin before finalising the results.
