Flash Challenge
Distance
You love exploring, so we've teamed up with Orange Mud to help you get out there.
This is a distance challenge, where your total distance clocked up gets you higher on the leaderboard, and every kilometer you run, walk or hike earns you one chance in the end-of-challenge prize draw.
The twist. You need to explore!
Only runs that start more than one kilometre away from the start of any other run you have done this year will count. It's time to go somewhere new!
Double your chances of winning!
If you purchase any Orange Mud pack from the Wild Things store during the challenge, you'll automatically double your chances in the prize draw, and if you win, we'll refund your pack purchase price!
We have three Orange Mud packs, worth over $575 to giveaway, awarded as spot prizes at the end of the challenge. This means anyone can win, so get involved!
1 x Orange Mud Gear Vest
In line with our ethos of encouraging participation over performance, the overall challenge winners, i.e. those at the head of the leaderboard, will not necessarily win the prizes.
Instead, each challenge participant will earn chances in a prize draw based on how many points they have accumulated.
By doing more you will increase your chances of winning a prize, but doing less will not preclude you from a chance of winning.
No worries — you can join a Wild Challenge at any time while it's running.
When you join, we'll automatically award any challenge points you've earned since the challenge started, so you won't miss out just because you joined late.
If you've only just connected Strava or Garmin, we'll sync your last three months of activities too, so eligible activities can still count towards the challenge.
Connect your Strava or Garmin account to Wild Things and we'll automatically sync your activities and add any that qualify to the challenge.
You don't need to add activities manually — just get out there and do your thing! Each challenge has its own criteria for earning points, so check the challenge details above to see what counts.
If you use both Strava and Garmin, you can connect both — we won't create duplicate activities.
Absolutely. You can join as many Wild Challenges as you like, and the same activity can earn points across multiple challenges if it meets the criteria for each one.
We usually draw challenge winners a few days after the challenge finishes. We wait at least 2–3 days to allow any late activities to sync from Strava or Garmin before finalising the results.
If you're a winner, we'll get in touch with you directly.
