Named after the three peaks of Flagstaff (668m), Swampy (739m), and Mt Cargill (676m), the 26km 3 Peaks Mountain Race takes runners and walkers up and along some of Dunedin’s most beautiful trails through lush native bush and forestry where they are rewarded with stunning panoramic views.
The 55km 3 Peaks Plus 1 adds one of the high points of the Silverpeaks, Pulpit Rock (760m), and even more amazing terrain and trail. The 55km event is also the NZ short course trail running championship.
The 41st annual 3 Peaks Mountain Race will take place on the 17th March, 2024, delivering trail running at its best.
Here's the deal:
We're keeping it simple. Climb a peak from our peak directory and you'll be on the leaderboard (1 peak = 1 point).
Every time you summit a peak, even if it's the same peak, you'll increase your chances of winning!
The bonus? Every 3rd peak bagged during the challenge will score you a bonus point.
On completion of the challenge, we will draw 4 spot prize winners - every point on the leaderboard gives you one chance in the draw.
The winners will each receive a free entry to the distance of their choice at the 3 Peaks Mountain Race in March next year.
Early bird registrations for the 3 Peaks Mountain Race 2024 are open now until the 30th of November. Don't hold back on this epic deal - your entry fee will be reimbursed if you win this challenge.
